Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is an effective tool for helping patients add flexibility to stiff joints and muscles.
This hands-on therapy mobilizes and manipulates the body to decrease pain and extend range of motion.
Coupled with prescribed exercises to be done at home between visits to the physiotherapist, it helps patients regain their strength faster and regain normal life activities.

This Practitioner is still completing their studies to become a Registered Massage Therapist. You will be unable to claim these appointments to Extended Health Benefits for coverage so will need to pay privately.

As these practitioners are still students, we are offering their treatments at a discounted rate. We appreciate your understanding and respect that they are still learning this trade.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy is a multi-disciplinary device used by physiotherapists to speed up pain relief and bring back mobility as quickly as possible.
Essentially, it lets acoustic waves trigger biological effects within the body without the need for pharmaceuticals.
It is a great tool for helping cure sports injuries and get patients back in the game and for restoring mobility that may be comprised by injury or illness. We have found it to be particularly effective in dealing with patients whose lives are impacted by chronic pain.
The acoustic wave carries high energy to painful spots and musculoskeletal tissues with sub-acute, sub chronic and chronic conditions. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues.
The kinetic energy of the projectile, created by compressed air, is transferred to the transmitter at the end of the applicator and further into the tissue.

Custom Orthotics

Orthotics are particularly helpful for patients dealing with symptoms from a variety of injuries including plantar fasciitis, heel spur, flat foot, neuromas, and foot and ankle tendon injuries as well as those impacted by arthritis or diabetes or by work that involves prolong walking or standing.
Customized Orthotics can assist patients plagued by persistent back pain as well.

Hi! I’m Raya, a student of massage therapy, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture at CITCM. My journey into the world of wellness and healing is deeply rooted in my lifelong dedication to movement and balance. I was drawn to understanding health and wellness from a young age, experiencing insight through my own health journey. I’ve spent years as a gymnast and sprint kayaker, experiences that taught me the importance of listening to your body and recovery. This has led to continuous study of the body through many disciplines, from holistic medicine to movement practices. I believe in a collaborative approach to wellness and meet each person on their own unique health journey, to support them in achieving their goals.

When I’m not studying or working with clients, you’ll find me rock climbing, skiing, or exploring! I am inspired by the synergy between nature, movement, and how the art of touch can cultivate healing and balance

Kelly has been living in the area since 2005. She moved here to get out of the city and loves rural life — except for the winter driving! She is a home schooling mother of 7 children (including twins!) and now also has a son-in-law.

Kelly became a Massage Therapist because massage has made such a difference in her life personally. She had repetitive strain injury in her shoulders and arms from her previous work, and regular massage made all the difference. For that reason, she loves working on shoulders and can sympathize with your pain.

She is passionate about Somatic/Body-Based Therapies. Kelly spent several years working to become a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner, but for practical reasons decided to pursue Massage Therapy instead. Her experience with the Rosen Method helps to inform her of what clients are dealing with when they come in to see her.

As a massage therapist, Kelly offers a practical and confident therapeutic touch, as well as a safe space for you to rest and relax under her hands.
